Hospitality vs. Loneliness I WILL:
Welcome visitors;
The bighorn sheep live in caves and mountain slopes of western America. These agile animals zigzag up and down cliff faces with amazing ease, using ledges only 2 inches wide for footholds and bouncing from ledge to ledge over spans as wide as 20 feet. On level ground they can run 30 miles per hour and up mountain slopes at 15 m.p.h. They also swim freely, despite their massive bulk and the weight of their horns, which for a bull can weigh up to 30 lbs. Because of the environment, each member of the flock must hospitably share with others and look out for each other. |
