I WILL:

Although often loathed by many, this large bird actually saves lives by devouring dead animals and thus stopping the spread of disease.  Like other carrion birds, turkey vultures are protected from diseases that they could get from the decaying animals by an amazing immune system. Also, their unfeathered "bald" heads are easy to keep clean.  The importance of this bird is shown by the fact that they are protected by state and federal laws.
